Job Posting – Fitter/General Welder

- Thoroughly understand and comply with Health and Safety, Quality Management Systems and Company policies.
- Work from complex drawings
- Operate various hand tools, such as but not limited to hand grinders, magnetic drills
- Operate overhead Cranes and Jib Cranes
- Minium Highschool Diploma
- Must possess a high standard of quality in workmanship and be able to fit to tight tolerances.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently.
- Experience in FCAW, GMAW, SMAW welding processes is a requirement and any educational course’s related to fitting would be an asset.
- To be able to multi task and assist with other roles when required.
- Must be technically strong in blueprint reading and fluent in weld symbols
- Strong background in structural fitting and welding will be considered as equivalent
- If not certified a minimum of five years experience in fitting and welding of structural assemblies.
- Previous or currently ticketed with CWB an asset.
- Able to lift a minimum 22kg/50lbs.
- Welding: 3 years (preferred)
- Fitting: 3 years (preferred)
- Shop/Factory setting with temperature variations
- Standard hours with overtime or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or complete urgent repairs
- Exposure to dust and fumes
- Heavy lifting, moving and assembling equipment and components
- Significant amount of time walking, standing, climbing,
- Exposure to noisy environment
